  • LangoHub (Vanray Systems) runs the system for the estate as its data processor.

What the guard records

ItemDetails
Your name and phone numberAlways recorded
Your ID, passport or driving-licence numberYour card is shown to the guard and handed straight back. Nobody keeps your ID card.
Who you are visiting, the purpose, and your times in and outAlways recorded
Your vehicle's number plateIf you came in a vehicle
A plain photo of you or your vehicleOnly if the estate uses photos, and only after you have been told. Where the estate allows, you may decline a photo and be identified from your ID details alone.
ID scanIf the estate uses ID scanning, the guard may photograph your ID so the app can read your name and number. LangoHub does not save the ID image. You can ask the guard to type the details instead.

Visitors under 18: guards record only your name, who you are visiting and the adult with you. No photo and no ID number. If you come alone, only your first name and the unit you are visiting are recorded.

Regular visitors: to speed up your next check-in, your name, phone and ID number are kept as a suggestion for the guard. They are deleted 12 months after your last visit.

Why

The estate collects this information:

  • to identify people entering the estate and record their entry and exit times. Section 48 of the Private Security Regulation Act, 2016 allows this and limits use of the information to identification;
  • to tell the resident you are visiting that you have arrived; and
  • to keep residents and property safe, and to investigate incidents.

It is never used for marketing and never sold. We do not use facial recognition or any biometrics.

Do you have to give it?

The estate requires identification as a condition of entry. If you do not identify yourself, the guard may refuse you entry.
