Accessibility

Last updated: 13 October 2026

We want everyone to be able to use LangoHub: guards, residents, managers and visitors. That includes people with disabilities. This commitment reflects the Persons with Disabilities Act, 2025.

What we do

  • We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA.
  • The app is available in English and Kiswahili.
  • Buttons and touch targets are large and easy to use on the phones guards already carry.
  • Lite mode works on low-end Android phones and slow connections.
  • Gate tasks need as little typing as possible.
  • The app supports browser and phone text-size settings.

Known limitations

  • Some admin charts and maps may be hard to use with a screen reader. We provide table or list views where we can.
  • Camera features need sight of the camera preview. ID scanning always has a "type it instead" option, and visitors can decline photos where the estate allows.
